Overthrow.com: Worldview and Agendas By Discover The Networks 2006
Overthrow.com is a website whose Internet homepage begins with an invitation for readers to "Join the National Socialist Movement." Its Editor and Publisher, Bill White, is a former Pravda columnist and a self-proclaimed anti-Semite. Overthrow.com has positioned itself as the new leader of the Red-Brown political alliance. Often referred to as the "Third position," as it is technically neither a politically left- nor a politically right-wing movement, this doctrinal synthesis uses a brew of socialism, anti-Semitism, and anti-Americanism to unite extremist factions from both sides of the political spectrum. The "Red" of this emerging alliance refers to the anti-capitalists, anti-globalists, displaced Bolsheviks, and far-left socialists who have struggled for political relevance since the fall of the Soviet Union. The "Brown" represents the "brown-shirted" members of the various neo-Nazi movements. Although for much of the twentieth century, the Reds and Browns were diametrically opposed political organizations, their increasing marginalization has driven them into an alliance cemented through anti-Semitism.
The primary feature of Overthrow.com is Bill White's Libertarian Socialist News (LSN) service, a collection of news reports handpicked by White and frequently drawn from a variety of biased, unreliable sources, including al-Jazeera, the Iranian Parliament, and www.iraqwwar.ru. Many reports on Overthrow.com list no identifiable source; others simply carry the byline "LSN Staff." White claims that the stories posted to the LSN service represent "censored information" that is denied mainstream exposure because of politically subversive content.
On April 10, 2003, Overthrow.com posted a news alert warning: "The US is planning to destroy Tikrit—the entire city. Genocide for 250,000 people with these MOAB ["Mother of All Bombs"] bombs and their less powerful counterparts."The website failed to provide a source for this update.
The following day, Overthrow.com featured a LSN headline that read: "SEC [Securities and Exchange Commission] launches a probe into Israeli 9/11 stock deals: Jews seemed to know attacks were coming." The accompanying article asserted, without evidence, that the SEC was investigating alleged "insider trading … by certain Israeli groups both in Canada and Germany between August 26 and the Sept.11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon."
When Overthrow.com actually identifies a mainstream source for its news reports, it frequently compromises the information by adding inaccurate or anti-Semitic commentary. Recently, for example, White posted a piece from National Review simply to grant himself a forum through which he could attack writer Jonah Goldberg as the "Pillsbury Jewboy," denounce Senior Editor Michael Ledeen as a "Kike Secret Agent," and propose renaming the publication "The Kike Review."
Overthrow gives tacit approval to violence against Jews and "flaggots," a term White employs to deride American patriots. On March 18, 2003, Overthrow.com's top story (from its LNS news wire) proclaimed, "Flag Bashers Wanted: Send Your Photos Here." The article, while professing that White "can't encourage anyone to engage in such activity," asked for Overthrow.com's readership to send him pictures of "flag waving faggot[s] getting their heads kicked in." White also noted, "it would make my day" if one of these "flaggots" were any of the writers employed by the conservative Free Republic, National Review, Weekly Standard, or WorldNetDaily.
Despite White's insistence that he has never encouraged violence against Jews, on April 7, 2003 Overthrow.com carried the LSN news report, "Klansmen, Nazi Held in Rape of Jewish Spy," with the note that White "found this amusing." The story, originally from the July 6, 1979 edition of the Philadelphia Journal, documented how the head of the New Jersey Ku Klux Klan and the reputed leader of the Garden State Nazi Party had violently assaulted, imprisoned, and repeatedly raped a twenty-year-old woman from the Jewish Defense League. White decided to re-run the outdated article because, as he commented with the story, it offered "an idea on how to deal with hateful Zionist Jews."
Overthrow.com also features an extensive collection of manuals offering instruction on how to create pipe bombs, dry ice bombs, chemical explosive bottles, chemical fire bottles, Molotov cocktails, and E-Z pipe bombs. The website's "banned book" section provides a link to the "Terrorist Handbook."
There is evidence that Overthrow.com has begun to ally itself with the virulently anti-Semitic Muslim extremist movement. It shares several key ideological affinities with Islamofascist organizations: (a) a hatred of Jews, who are depicted as running the world through secret conspiracies; (b) a hatred of the U.S. government, seen as a global bully controlled largely by Jews; and (c) a desire to overthrow existing governments and replace them with "monocultural nation states" founded on the idea of supremacist racial nationalism and/or supremacist religious nationalism. Overthrow.com often reflects such ideological connections through its support of Palestinian suicide bombers, which it likens to "anti-bodies fighting a cancer."
White's website also suggests that either the U.S. government or Israel, and not Islamic terrorists, were responsible for the 9/11 attacks. "Zionist Commando Daniel Lewin Orchestrated The 9-11 Terrorist Attacks," read a March 7, 2004 headline. Penned by "Anonymous," the accompanying article (which Overthrow.com called one of the ten "most popular" pieces it had ever published) stated that "[Lewin's] troops stole Arab identities while Mossad agents in Hollywood, Florida assassinated Mohammed Atta and framed him for the crime." As of June 2006, Overthrow also listed the following articles among its ten "most popular" pieces ever:
"The Israel-Brazil Sex Thing": This April 11, 2002 article reported on "a child prostitution ring operated in Brazil by Israeli diplomats in order to satisfy the sexual appetites of Israeli tourists."
"Whites Have Bigger Cocks Than Blacks": This July 10, 2005 article, written by the "LSN Staff," reports: "A scientific study has proven that white men have bigger cocks than blacks, despite lies about black sexuality perpetrated in Jewish mass media and pornography. … For decades, whites have had to listen to the insulting and false derision of Jewish propaganda claiming that African barbarians have giant cocks that somehow make white women attracted to them. While very few white women are actually attracted to blacks, and most of those of those who are mentally, emotionally, or physically defective in some way, this myth has been eagerly propagated by Jewish entertainment media, Jewish movies, Jewish music, and, most importantly, Jewish pornography … to psychologically undermine white society."
"Black College Students Are a 'Zoological' Oddity": This September 26, 2005 story, written by the "LSN Staff," reported: "A group of idiot niggers … has demanded that Vassar [College] pull funding from its conservative campus magazine The Imperialist, after the magazine published an article saying that black and homosexual cultural centers on campus are 'zoological preserves' run for the dubious benefit of white students. … Blacks on the campus were predictably outraged in the trite, inane manner in which the talking monkeys have been trained to behave. The vaz (sic) majority of white people are sick of listening to blacks whine about how they suffer from the consequences of their own behavior, and are equally tired of being censored by Jewish power structures in academia and the media which make any discussion of black absurdity verboten."
