Patricia Jones Edgerton is the treasurer and a board member of the Blue Moon Fund, which is a major financier of environmental and anti-nuclear organizations. She is the daughter of W. Alton "Pete" Jones, who created the W. Alton Jones Foundation in 1944 and disbanded it in September 2001 when each family member wanted to pursue different funding directions. This breakup led to the formation of three new funds that split the assets of the original foundation three ways – the Blue Moon Fund, the Oak Hill Fund, and the Edgerton Fund. Patricia’s daughter is Diane Edgerton Miller, the president and chief executive officer of the Blue Moon Fund.
