ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE CATHOLIC CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
* Steadfastly opposed to military action, CCHD contends
that while “conflict is inevitable and often an element of social
change,” it “must take place in an atmosphere of non-violence and
respect for human persons.”
* In 2008 CCHD was involved in a major scandal
when its director, Ralph McCloud, violated the Campaign's stance against abortion by moonlighting as a
high-level campaign official for a pro-choice political candidate
seeking to unseat a pro-life incumbent.
